If you bother to read, i also discounted the cutlery and crockery as nonsense.

But a coffee table, a sofa, a wardrobe and maybe a bed, is not furnished.

If you dont want to provide electricals, dont. No-one is saying you have to. But then its not a furnished property.

The point Pixie made, was if you expect the people who move into your property to own a fridge, freezer, washing machine, (beds) drawers, table, chairs etc. - Then its likely they'll also own a Sofa, Wardrobe and coffee table, so why would they want the junk you left behind??!!

And as I stated...the amount of 'junk' left behind depends on the space ie. 1 bed flat or 3 bed house. My main point in all this was that yes 'furniture' I would supply but will not supply and then be accountable for buying/fixing/replacing electrical items!!

I know many people who have aquired things since renting properties as they have had to purchase themselves. Not all mind, few electrical items such as tvs, white goods etc.

So people will own fridge and freezer, and tv, and drawers, and table, and chairs, and washing machine, bedside cabinets, and microwaves, and dishwashers, and so forth.

But in their ignorance forgot to purchase a sofa, a coffee table, a bed and a wardrobe? - which i call junk as your reluctance to replace things suggests that these will be very old and worn.

    Just let it unfurnished.

    In summary yes.

You are happy to furnish (with what you choose not to take with you), but will not provide electrical items. You also gave a list of the items you felt would be included.

I have used this as a basis for my post.
