Help please - Rent/sell/debt crisis

First of all you need to have a valuation done on your house and see if after costs of selling you will make a profit. Also factor into the equation your tenants' situation and how easy it would be to evict them and then factor in how likely it is that you will sell quickly.
Unless you make a good profit and can get the tenant out and you can sell quickly then I would put this on the back boiler for the time being.
Next ask your landlord if they would consider your staying in your home while they sell. This would give you lots of breathing space to save for the deposit and fees.
If you cannot do this and have to leave fairly soon - this will depend on your tenancy agreement and how far you want to use your 'rights' (more information if you need it) then you will need to think about how to raise the deposit and fees.
As regards deposit and fees you need to:
Up your income - second jobs/borrow from family/ask for a payment holiday from Payplan and/or
cut down on your expenditure.
Easily said than done I know.
When you move you need to inform PayPlan of your new circumstances. It may be that there are other options for your debt rather than DMP.0 -
thank you, these help. I have just been on the 'entitled to' website and put in details as though my circumstances have changed (increased rent etc) and it may be that i could get some help there. I think i may need to speak to someone who deals in benefits. any idea who? thank you again for helping.0

Over there becuase that is where the benefits experts are.
Do take a tin hat however as there are also a number of benefit bashers.
Make sure you have checked the Local Housing Allowance for a two bedroom flat in your area.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
