Two quick questions.

Hi :)

I have two quick questions, thanks for reading.

1). I had a Wonga loan which was written off a few months ago but it is still appearing on my credit file. How do I get this off??

2). I have also found a CCJ on my credit file which is for overpaid housing benefit and when questioned it is for a period that I didn't live in said address. I have been to the town hall life centre thing and questioned it and they said I will have to put it in writing which I have sent off today but is there anything else I can be doing??

Thanks :)

When you say "written off" what exactly do you mean?

Do you mean that you borrowed some money from Wonga, failed to repay it, and Wonga have decided not to pursue you for it?
  • No i mean that my ex boyfriend got a Wonga loan in my name and spent it, and when I found out about it he was done for fraud and the loan was written off.

Then you probably need to contact Wonga and get them update the credit record. And perhaps drop the hint that you might complain to the ICO or even the FOS if they don't do it ASAP.
