Options
Hi all, does any one know of a savings account that requires 2 signatures for withdrawal? Can be B/society or bank.

Application forms have a section which requires you to say whether it is one or both to sign?

Thanks for that, called nationwide but they said they didn't do accounts that require to signatures to withdraw. Do you know of any specific b/s or bank that offers this?

Joint current accounts seen to allow either single or both holders to sign - I think we were asked at First Direct tho that was a while ago

Certain current accounts will be set up to need two signatures - trustee accounts for example or club/society accounts, which have this requirement for security/audit purposes - however, in my experience, only chequebook access is allowed - no debit card and no internet access. Customers complete a "both to sign" mandate.

With regard to building society savings accounts, in my experience the application form specifically asks whether it is both/any to sign.

Once again though, this restricts the holders to branch based/postal accounts.
