Hi all, does any one know of a savings account that requires 2 signatures for withdrawal? Can be B/society or bank.

Application forms have a section which requires you to say whether it is one or both to sign?0

Joint current accounts seen to allow either single or both holders to sign - I think we were asked at First Direct tho that was a while ago0

Certain current accounts will be set up to need two signatures - trustee accounts for example or club/society accounts, which have this requirement for security/audit purposes - however, in my experience, only chequebook access is allowed - no debit card and no internet access. Customers complete a "both to sign" mandate.

With regard to building society savings accounts, in my experience the application form specifically asks whether it is both/any to sign.
Once again though, this restricts the holders to branch based/postal accounts.0
