Virgin Media Boxes - in a new house

About to move into a house where the previous owners (well, tenants, but we're buying the house) had Virgin Media so the house has Virgin Media boxes on the walls.
I have a contract with TalTalk in my current house. Not loyal to them at all.
I do not want any sort of paid for TV (Sy or Virgin or anything else)...I simply want broadband, phone line (probably, that's being discussed) and Freeview.
There is a television aerial on the chimney. Not sure if those cables are still available or not.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Contract with TT what will it cost you to close the account when you move .
Freeview via a freeview box or Freeview TV from the aerial .
I would get a quote from Virgin first .0 -

From personal experience it may be cheaper to get a bundle with basic PayTV (the Virgin M size pack) than the items separate.
We have Phone, Broadband and TV via Virgin , but the TV box was never even powered on as we used Freesat for HD, but to remove the TV bundle would have meant the cost went up a fiver, despite having one less service due to the way they were discounted.0 -
Virgin calls are quite expensive.
broadband is fast (well during the day)0 -
If the new house has an aerial and your currently with TalkTalk you could make enquiries about YouView, as paid for TV packages are only an option, not a requirement. They are almost giving YouView (Freeview) boxes away at the moment.0

If you want your broadband or landline service from any other source than VM, you will need a BT-based line installing or reconnecting, rather than the current cable line. Cost-from nothing to £130.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Virgin are by far the best provider. All problems resolved quickly fibre superfast broadband.
We moved and had to change as VM not available in the area. Chose sky as they are the best of a bad bunch and to say they aren't a patch on VM is an understatement0 -

In your experience perhaps, that's a very bold statement. As with all providers, the experience can vary greatly. My personal experience with VM is that if you suffer from a a local congestion issue you need to prepare yourself for months and months of excuses, broken promises and lack of action while dealing with an executive complaints team who are utterly clueless and frankly not bothered.0
