Income, from before joining household, affecting family

I finished a full-time job last September. On December 1st I moved in with my boyfriend.

We had a letter saying it was believed he now had a partner, to which we said 'yes'. His family tax credits have been stopped pending a new, joint, claim.

When I do the calculator and enter my income for 13/14, then the reduced income for 14/15 (April-September), it says there is no entitlement for benefits for the family right now.

Is there any course of appeal, based on the fact that that income relates to a a job I no longer have, for the upkeep of a house in a different area, and was never of any financial benefit to my boyfriend's family?
