Don't know how to reduce the size of the link. If anyone does - could they post or PM how & I'll reduce it.

Swattie,
There is a way to shorten links, but unfortunately it's not working for me at the moment :wall: . Have a look at sra's guide here (please excuse the long link
):

Thanks for the advice.
The link in the post is a lot shorter than the original that i cut * pasted.
It must be self-truncating..........magic.0 -
On a similar note, Lloyds pharmacies are selling Omron monitors (many G.P's use them in surgery) for £20 odd. Model is,iirc, MX2 which is the same as http://www.mypharmacy.co.uk/health_products/products/o/omron/blood_pressure_monitors/omron_mx3_plus.htm but without the memory facility.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Does anyone know if the Boots monitor is any good?0

I believe that upper arm monitors are normally reckoned to be better than wrist monitors but chapter and verse can be found at The Blood Pressure Association. I have the Omron from Lloyds, £24.95 IIRC, half price. Find it quite easy to use, the readings are always higher at the surgery though, which is either White Coat Syndrome or the fact that I know I'm just about to rant about why the hospital hasn't rescheduled my operation yet!Lindyloo2 wrote:Does anyone know if the Boots monitor is any good?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The Boots one looks the same as one used at my Doctors surgery.
The good thing about buying from Boots is - any problems and they'll refund/exchange and if you've been collecting points it may even be ''free'' courtesy of 'pink toe separators', 'cucumber cleanser' and other points offers.0 -
I've just ordered one, and with a certain promo code I got £11 on my Boots card, making it £19.. Not bad at all.
