    Thanks for your reply. Am I right in thinking you can only do this once therefore it doesn't really make a difference whether I do the transfer in or start a new ISA after 6 April?

    I called HSBC yesterday evening to open the account but the person I spoke to couldn't put me through to the account opening team as they were very busy - I cant imagine why :)

    The guy said it will take 45mins! to go through the application so I could either do it over the phone or they could book an appointment in a local branch and I go there instead.

    Apparently they are going to call me back this evening so lets see if they actually do as I am loath to go into the branch and have them attempt to sell me other stuff.

    I went to a branch today and they did everything for me there and then , transferred my e-cash isa to a Loyalty one (I will start the £25 payments next month to get £10 every month), and also opened a Regular saver for the 6%.


    Quite happy with the arrangement. :)

    Does anybody know if Premier customers are entitled to this offer too?

    Was Advance but was upgraded a month ago and haven't had the Save Together email.

    I called them back today and after a long wait the advance account is open.

    I will open the loyalty ISA on Saturday ready for the offer to start on March 1 then the regular saver next week to keep the payment date for that the same as my other ones.

    Already maxed out my S&S ISA this tax year, but if this is still around for 2015/16 it will be very nice to run alongside it and transfer the proceeds to S&S at the end of the offer.

    Was trying to avoid having any more current accounts...

    Seems best if you have a current account with all of them these days.

    Yes. Any unwanted ones can also be used to get an incentive when opening the next new one :)

    Sorry, but I don't entirely understand ISAs... (never had one) Can someone advise on the question below?

    I do have an HSBC Advance bank account and I don't have any ISAs anywhere. Is it possible to open a HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA, deposit £300 on e.g. 2nd of March, then move it back into my current account day later (I don't care about the interest) and simply enjoy £10 per month paid by HSBC into the ISA?...
  • As soon as you move that £300 out of the ISA it will lose its tax free status and then earn zero interest in your current account so pretty pointless. I would imagine HSBC would not give you the £10 per month under that arrangement, and would certainly ask questions.

    I am puzzled with this product but have not looked at the terms. I am fully paid into my ISA this year, but if in April I put in the full £15k their top up would take it over the annual limit - presumably that isn't allowed.
