PIP interview appointments

I hope I'm in the right place to post this....
As I have ME/CFS and I'm deaf I was advise to claim PIP - so I made an application about 8 months ago.
I got an appointment expecting me to travel about 2 hours to attend an interview at the crack of dawn. I'm simply not up to doing this (a friend did this for me over the phone) but it seems impossible to make them understand and see reason.
Is this all part of the plan? Make it so difficult claimants will give up? I cannot ring up myself as I'm deaf and they keep saying there are no other appointments. How convenient.
I might try writing to them, there's no email address on the letter.
Any advise? Thanks.

Asked for home visit - so far they have stonewalled it...0

Sometimes an early morning trek can work in people's favour, they get to see you at your worst so to speak.....Maybe it's worth thinking about especially if they are adamant they won't do a home visit, did you provide a GP letter when requesting a HV as this is required?0

email your MP, they have more access to the powers that be than the call centre staff. My MP has been really helpful, with PIP appointment info and other things.0

I have now found an email address for them. If that doesn't work I'll go back to my GP and then on to my local MP.
