Doing our own inventory

We got flooded on the 20th of July in berkshire

Our loss adjuster can't get to us for another 2-3 weeks to start our invetory of damaged goods.

They have offered us a skip and said we can do it ourselves and they will validate our inventory.

Is this a good thing to do or should i leave it and wait for them.

thanks
anita

I was offered something similar, but then the Loss Adjuster came a few days later. I think if they say its ok then its ok. I would do what I did though and take a picture of everything. I am then going to send it to them on a CD with a spreadsheet of the damaged items as proof.
