5.2 meter span (steel beam?)

Hi,
I am extending my existing extension is 5.2m*3 meters. I will extend further 3 meters, so need to remove the wall and have a large open room. Existing one has a flat roof, and new one will be flat too. My builder suggested to have a long RSJ and then without doing too much work on the existing roof, connect joists to the H share beam. However, such a long RSJ might cost big money? Is there any idea what might be the cost ? or any other alternative ways of connecting two roofs?
thanks

I always thought ( I certainly did in the past) buy RSJ by the foot.0 -
Our 8.5 meter beam for opening up our kitchen has just cost £800.
It was specified by a structural engineer.0 -
8.5 metre RSJ. I'm glad I didn't have to lift that into place!I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
