Opera Browser update prefilled passwords

Hi, I've been using Opera for years and just downloaded the latest update.
To my horror, every site for which I have a password are already completed, just hit return and I'm logged in. You can't actually see the word, just stars.
I posted my problem on the Opera forum but there doesn't seem to be much traffic on there. I've checked IE and Chrome and they are OK, it's just Opera, and only since the update.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again but it's just the same.

most browsers will save your passwords and fill them in for you if you ask them too.
i assume you must have saved them in opera at some point.
if you dont want it, you should be able to clear all existing data and turn the feature off0 -

Thank you for your reply.
No, I most definitely haven't saved my passwords - certainly not for my bank, paypal, ebay and Amazon or indeed any of the sites where I have shopped online - there are only a couple of sites where I do save it in my browser, and I was unable to find anywhere in the settings and so forth where I could delete them.
My SIL has come to the rescue, but unfortunately the only way to get rid of the pre-filled fields was to uninstall Opera, selecting not to save bookmarks, then reinstall. Just uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work.
When I just 'updated', the bookmark screen was entirely different (and difficult to see clearly), now a new install has resulted in a much clearer and full coloured screen.
I did have a lot of bookmarks so it's a drastic solution to the problem but at least I feel I can relax now.0 -

Opera menu -> Settings -> Privacy & security -> Passwords.
Untick the Offer to save passwords I enter on the web box.
Then select Manage saved passwords and delete the ones (all?) you don't want to keep.0 -
