Youtube autoplay on facebook-does it count is a hit on youtube?

Hi folks,
Just noticed recently that on facebook (not that I'm any great fan of it really) that a lot of the embedded youtube videos seem to autoplay when you scroll pass them on facebook.
Just wondering then does this autoplay feature actually count as a hit on youtube? I'm probably thinking if that it does, it kind of makes a mockery of the hit count on youtube, since you are only scrolling past the video on facebook not actually clicking on it to play.
