Look out for blacked out windows, lights on all the time, condensation and in the final four weeks the plants will stink if it is a cannabis farm. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Sounds more like the young man is diligently caring for his elderly relative's beloved cat / pug / canary..
Or possibly, he wishes to dissuade skunk-farming squatters from moving in and trashing the place?
Most bikers are lovely people, OP - why not pop over and say hello.
He'll probably appreciate knowing there's a friendly neighbour keeping an eye out while the house is empty.0 -
If we get more snow, it won't settle on the roof because it'll melt!rubytuesday wrote: »Look out for blacked out windows, lights on all the time, condensation and in the final four weeks the plants will stink if it is a cannabis farm.
Maybe he's still clearing it ... We're still at it!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

The bike comment wasn't a dig at the man himself or the vehicle he drives but more to highlight that I know his comings and goings as I can hear him, even when I'm sat in watching TV with all the curtains shut.
Shortly after the old couple moved, I was outside when the man arrived and I did ask after his elderly relatives (who I had a reasonably good relationship with - I used to go to school with their daughter), just out of interest for their health. They were quite elderly, I hope that neither of them had died. Unfortunately I got quite short shrift and was told they wouldn't be back, that was it.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I'll just go and check mine in the loft!
According to google you can harvest from day one of the plants life to seven plus months but average growing time is three to four months. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

When my nan died, my dad found a load of old tins dating back many years.
Perhaps the old couple also had loads of tins in stock and the relative is clearing them out.0 -
A shame he was abrupt when you asked after the neighbours. My contact with Mum's former neighbours is usually limited to them giving us the evil eye because they think we're parking where we shouldn't be, followed by a slight thaw when they realise we have a perfect right to be there. Much as it was when she was there, in fact ...
It must take even longer than usual if you're clearing a house by motorbike ...
We've had a van load go for auction, and I've lost count of the number of car loads we've removed. Even when we (the family) have finished, the house clearance company reckon they'll need 3-4 days to finish off.
Should have done 'before' and 'after' photos.Signature removed for peace of mind0
