I have in my kitchen a cupboard which houses my warm air unit, the wall is constructed of what is called paramount wall.

After my warm air unit is removed I want to enlarge my kitchen by removing that wall.
Is it just a simple matter of cutting the join between the ceiling and the wall and at the corner where it joins the other wall?
I am assured it is not a load bearing wall by someone who wants £235 to remove it.
