Possible sanction?

Just looking for some advice,

I went to my appointment on Thursday, 12th and advisor who I saw seemed impressed with my Job search but yesterday I received a letter stating a doubt has arisen in my claim for Universal Credit because I haven't done enough to find work, the advisor who I saw, didn't say a word to me so I assume my Job seeking was fine, I only could apply for Jobs if jobs are advertising.

Anyway, if the worse case happens, will my housing benefit get stopped as well? or will that continue running as it's with Universal Credit? and will I be able to claim Hardship payments?

I am very worried now, I am going to ring Job Centre up tomorrow morning to see if a sanction is in place as I am due to get paid on the 19th :(

Any advice would be great, thank you.

If you have been sanctioned you can appeal against the decision. Your adviser or another adviser will be able to talk you through this process. You have to ask for a mandantory reconsideration which will list the reasons why a sanction was applied and how long this will last. You can put in a claim for hardship at the Job centre. Again a adviser should help you with this. You may also find the following link useful: http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/sanctions-and-hardship

Hi i come across this a few times they see an adviser one week and
they are doing enough to find work, then the next time they are not.
My advice was to one ask them questions about what they should do/be doing to find work and write their answers down in front of them.
Two write down every thing you have done i.e handed in c.v name of people who took it, phone calls who took your call, e-mails you
    sent and who to.

Perhaps the want you to start making speculative applications. On your job search remember to include every job vacancy-related email you read, every website you check.
