Shillingford Bridge Hotel does look really nice from the outside so hope you can get something sorted out there!
    So do I! :)
We have provisionally booked the date we wanted and I have a meeting with the wedding co-ordinator next week to discuss figures etc and so on. Looks like we have a venue people! :j :j

OOh, I hope you like it there. I went to look at it and h2b and I decided we didn;t like it...the lawn seemed to be very open to the public with a car park between it and the venue, and we thought it looked a bit shabby :/

I too, was going to suggest one of the colleges at the University.

Radley College also has a nice looking building:

In Abingdon, you can also rent the Guildhall: http://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/Leisure_and_arts/vale_halls_to_hire/abingdon_guildhall.asp, which is nothing too spectacular, but clean and neat. It's also right next to the Abbey ruins though, which make for a spectacular before/after ceremony "mingling", photo spot, etc.
