Qatar tickets cheaper next day

I bought a return ticket for my son from Heathrow to Sri lanka yesterday and was gutted to find out that it is cheaper by £25 on their website today. I guess I cannot do anything about it but I the price should be higher but not cheaper as it is peak period just the day after easter. Also is 65 mins enough to transit in Doha, oes anybody know whether he will need to go through customs again and pick up bags. Thanks

Currency fluctuations most likely since they are a non GBP airline.
    No.
    Probably not.

The price goes up and down depending on how many flight seats get sold.
65 min is more then enough in doha. he will have to go for security check so tell him to tell the security that he has to catch the next flight.
And No he does not have to pick up his bags in Doha. he will get them in SL.

    Hope it helps

I have transited through Doha a few times with tight connections but don't worry - QR manage this quite well and you will be fine.

Prices can and do fluctuate on a daily basis so it is sometimes wise not to try to reprice your actual flights once you have paid for them. If you are happy with what you have paid, then don't worry about a price change - just enjoy the trip. :)

Just out of interest, what is the shortest time you have successfully connected in at Doha?

IIRC on our outbound and inbound flights in January, both connection times were a relatively short 60 minutes. I think the official MCT for Doha is 45 minutes - although I stand to be corrected on that assertion.

It was a case of simply walking off one plane and leisurely walking to board the next.

I just couldn't see this happening at Heathrow T5 !

I have known QR to wait for connecting passengers so it seems that if there is a delay, they may hold a flight back - which is good if you are the delayed passenger - not so good if you are boarded and waiting to go.

Incidentally, on the trip I referred to earlier, (it was ex EU on a QR booking), my first scheduled connection was from Amsterdam to Frankfurt with a transfer time of 45 minutes at FRA to board a QR flight to Doha.

I wouldn't have been too concerned if this was at Doha, but I managed to change the flight from Amsterdam to Heathrow (which had a 2 hour connection) at no extra cost - although true to form, after a prolonged period being stacked up over London, a bus transfer from T5 to T4 and a protracted security process, these quickly ate into a reasonable connection time.
