BT Multiplay

Can anyone tell me what BT multi play is? I'm on a fairly standard BT contract for phone and infinity broadband costing just over £40 per month. This month BT decided to take £312 from my bank account. The bill underpinning that is a complete jumble with most items being duplicated. But it also includes a figure of £63 for "BT Multi Play from 18 Sept to 30 Nov". Not something that has ever appeared before and certainly not something I've signed up for. I had a long telephone conversation with India this morning - not sure the guy on the other end understands what Multi play is - but if he does he certainly couldn't explain it to me. Anyone throw any light?

If you google BT multi play , it appears they renamed BT 'multi play' to 'packaged services ' , so if you take two or more services from BT and get them on one bill rather than separate bills for say line and broadband, it could be the quarter ending November was the last bill called multi play and the next quarter bill will be called packaged services, this doesn't explain the huge increase in charge though, as all that should have changed is the name of the product

    Hi cjt1943,

I'm sorry for the mix up on your bills and that a higher amount has been taken from your direct debit. I can help you sort this out from here. You'll see the link to send us your details in our public profile.

    Cheers,
