New Bosch Double Oven Grill Issues

After only three weeks my new Bosch HBM13B251B top oven/grill will now not operate.

Set the left hand switch to either 'oven' or 'grill', turn right hand switch on, top oven internal light & fan comes on. Turn right hand switch to on, but neon light above switch does not light up and the top oven elements fail to heat up.

When turning the right hand switch I can hear a slight 'clicking' as I rotate the know, but the element fails to heat up.

Does this mean that the element is defective after only three weeks?

Have you checked the silly stuff first, to make sure it isnt on timer or anything like that? Failing that if the light isnt lighting up I would say it was more likely the thermostat rather than the element. if it was the element I would imaging that it would light up but wouldn't heat. (Could be wrong though, I am married so I am used to being wrong... )

Try closing the door. Some grilles only work with the door shut

Read the manual, have you set the childproof (adultproof ) lock ?

If none of those things work then the retailer will either tell you what you need to do or, if there is a problem, fix it (or if you're unlucky, refund you and you'll have to buy an alternative). Which retailer is it?
