O/S Daily Sunday 15th February 2015

:hello: Good morning everyone, Another grey dreary and damp day again today. Wish we could see some sunshine.

DS is working at the pub 9am-3pm. DH and I have had breakfast just watching TV and catching up. DD still in bed!

Going to do the usual chores today, clean through and washing and ironing. Going to have roast chicken for dinner with usual trimmings and YS pigs in blankets, yummy.:)

Half term this week, but I have got my food hygiene training tomorrow, for which we will be paid, then the rest of the week to just chill, catch up and hopefully do some sewing and knitting.

Morning all,

Its a lovely day here, OH and DS both working this morning so i had planned a quiet morning pottering about. At 8 am another DS text to inform me that he would be here in an hour so that was my plans scuppered.

Lovely to see him, he smoked a few of my ciggs and ate a sausage sandwich that i had to cook for him!!!

DH will be home around 12 looking for his cooked breakfast then he wants to go out and about.

Good morning all,

Quite nice here too,some sun and a pale blue sky.DS2 at GFs,& Dh gone to the cottage to do some more renovation but I don't think he'll stay all day,he's been working 7 days a week for a while and is tired.He'll finish early tomorrow too as its our friend's DM funeral.

I've been pottering too and reading on here.Got pork in the sc for later.I made apple & blackberry pie yesterday and there's some left but I might make a cake later.I had a nice walk with Lyla,though I didnt meet up with any of our dog walking friends I passed the time of day with some owners.They all tend to keep a bit of a distance though as she is so big now (English mastiff cross),though when I look on FB at her brothers and sisters she is def one of the smaller ones,thank goodness :rotfl:She's flat out now dreaming away.

I sorted and shredded a load of old paperwork yesterday,not a great deal more to do here but there may be more in storage,and also have finally emptied and switched off the old chest freezer in the garage,so that needs to go now as we wont have room in the cottage when we move.Once it's gone I'll have more space to manoeuvre and sort out other stuff,we'll be going to a much smaller house and I'm determined not to take a load of unnecessary carp. Right off to make a cuppa,got chilly sat here so need to get moving.Enjoy your day x

I am so cross! Mr LW goes to the monthly farmers market at Olney, and gets our supply of cheese, eggs, bread flour, honey, plus a pat of unsalted butter (his treat) and a pot of unpasteurised cream. This is the first Sunday of the month. This month, I desperately needed bread flour, but they hadn't brought any.

I should explain, the stall we get that from is primarily meat, which of course we don't buy, and eggs, which we do. He carries the bread flour as a sort of side-line. Anyways, he assured Mr LW that he'd have some bread flour at the Woburn farmers market, 3rd Sunday in the month, ie today.

So off Mr LW went this morning - yep, you've guessed it, no bread flour.:mad: I wouldn't mind so much (I can, as an emergency measure, get some from the SM) but they'd promised to take some along today, and Mr LW went specially, we don't usually go to the Woburn one.

Grrrr!

Afternoon all,

Lovely sunshine here today. DH and I have painted the three lounge walls and will have to paper the fourth either in the week or next weekend.

Off out to a Chinese for dinner tonight.

Feeling very scared as I am due at the dentist for 9am tomorrow so he can try and redo my root canal that still has the infection in it. Luckily it hasn't been painful but I can feel the sensation of something there all the time

Afternoon all
Wedding reception yesterday, it was lovely & we had a great time, stayed in the hotel overnight, our Valentine treat
We had a big breakfast this morning, then carried on to the local garden center & got home about 1ish.
I've just done a roast dinner & that's all I'm doing today, it's feet up & on with the crochet.

Well I am pleasantly fou' as my Scottish husband would say.

From time to time I buy a loin of pork to roast, cut in half it does us for several meals. Tonight I did the smaller piece with roast potato and swede, roasting makes the swede really sweet, carrots, calebrese and red wine gravy, followed it up with a plum crumble with 2 teaspoons of ginger in the crumble, scrumptious.

The pork I will put through my slicer tomorrow when its cold, it will give us enough for tomorrow night with a salad and meat to freeze for another Sunday supper. Really good value for just over £4 for the half piece. and the pork dripping for me to have on some toast, yum yum.

Spent most of the afternoon sweating over a hot sewing machine doing a block for the quilting group. I have it to sew together but it can wait till tomorrow.

We did get out for a short walk after lunch before the weather closed in again, horrid dull grey day.
