Green flag...any good?

Anybody had experience with GreenFlag? We were always in the AA with our Lloyds Platinum account but now we have closed that account due to starting a DMP with SC, we now need to sort out something else.
GreenFlag seem to be better value than either AA or RAC...unless anybody knows any special offers etc.
But don't want to sign up with them if they turn out to be rubbish....e.g...how long do they take on average to arrive (I know what it says on website, but is that true), also are they as well trained as AA & RAC mechanics.
Any thoughts appreciated

Green flag usually use indendent garages/recovery services. I've been with them 25 years and used them twice, unlike the AA relay they take you all the way home using the same vehicle. On both occasions I was kept updated by txt and only had to wait about 45 minutes before the recovery vehicle arrived. I pay £39 per year for recovery which is the rate for IAM members.0

Only used them once in the eight years I've been a member.
Attended promptly, fixed my problem. very helpful and friendly.0 -
I am a member of Auto Aid, they cost £41 a year. The difference is that it is the driver that is covered, so I can drive any car and it is covered. Also with Auto Aid I have to pay for everything, then claim back the money later.
I have never broken down, for over 20 years, so have nit called them out, but apparently use indendent garages/recovery services.0
