It's his house, he can do what he likes with the spare bedroom. Strange question?

Or do you mean will the council pay housing benefit to my father while we live in his house, then the answer is probably no, search under 'contrived tenancy'

Is the property rented privately? What does the contract say?

Is it owned? Mortgaged? What does the mortgage say?

Is there a history of child abuse? What do Social services say?

Is Housing Benefit being claimed? By who? On what basis? What do Benefits Office say?

Is it council property? What doe the Housing Dept say?

Is your father claiing Council Tax 'single person discount'? No need to ask what CT dept will say!

It's not privately owned,at the moment it only in talks as our private landlord is thinking about selling his property,I have done some research online I think the maximum is 3 for a two bed.
In this case would be over by one person,I would like it to all above board, there is no history of any abuse as none of us have criminal records,I'm yet to contact social services as sometimes they help with housing issues.
