Best food buys from M&S with £10

Penny-Pincher!!

They often have 25% off their fresh chickens which work to about £2.50 each. I normally buy 4 at a time and freeze. Their frozen items are good quality, but will depend on freezer room

If it was me, I would buy a couple of chickens, milk (freeze if not needed atm), butter (63p) x 2 (freeze if not needed), tin of soup (59p)and beans x 2(35p), loaf of bread (79p) (freeze if not needed), small cheddar (£1.15) and some spuds (£1.90). Should be just over a tenner there but a few staple meals with rubber chicken.

Have just got back from what was starting to feel like a mammoth task!
I could not believe how dear some of their stuff is (been pampered by tesco value range for too long! ).
I don't think I did too bad, although I only saw PP's post when I got back, now what an idea that would have been!
In the end got:
Roast chicken £3.66
Spaghetti 0.99 plus one half price
cauliflower 0.95
pack mixed peppers £1.69
loaf bread 0.95

my poor mental arithmetic meant I have a pound voucher back! Oh well!

At least the chicken will do at least 2 meals!

Ahh too late cos you've been now but their fishcakes are lovely, normally 2 packs for £3 and they have lots of different kinds.
