Battery issues

Wouldn't worry op - would only be a problem if you did a trip to shop 1.2 mile away once a week.
Realistically, sporadic driving consisting of 18 mile journeys is fine. Don't be frightened by all the numbers others seem to put out. Many people use their car for less without their battery giving out every few weeks!0 -
Bought a replacement Panda last month, the car picked up a ghost which switched on the radio with the result being a flat battery. Fixed the radio ie leave a CD in the machine (lol).
But net effect was the battery never revovered and had to be changed for the 11 year old battery out of the old Panda.
Save yourself any hassle and get a new battery they aren't that expensive.0
