Good morning Elite :hello:
An early start for me today :eek: felt motivated to venture out so thought I'd go to a boot sale. First I had to go to the farm for eggs and decided to call in at MrA first for deod and snack bars, no list to hand but we'll see just after 11am.
ANyway, after a wander round MrA I just couldn't go to bootie, right knee so bad so just came home
Happy shopping guys, hugs to those in need :grouphug:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Now I love Brussels sprouts but the thought of them in a sandwich tweets just _pale_0

I am thinking that a good proportion of the population who are maybe 70 or older - born 1930s or 1940s or even 1950s will
have their illnesses and disorders related to smoking as everyone smoked and everyone smoked everywhere
so its not just the obvious cancers and diseases of circulation.
My m-I-l gave up after maybe 40 years of smoking - not until a decade after her OH died in his 60s of emphesema - she was a nurse - it still got her. After numerous tests and being passed from one department to another she finally got a diagnosis after Christmas and she lasted 12 weeks afterwards.
QUOTE=zagubov;67884657]When Leonard Nimoy died I realised he'd given up smoking around the same time I did, about thirty years ago. Still died of it.
I did realise that he'd been smoking for about three decades more than me at that point.
The trigger that made me stop was when Horizon had an episode on smoking-related diseases, but not the cliches.
People having legs sawn off from nicotine-induced gangrene, and people wearing what were effectively spacesuits to go out to the garden as they've emphysema and lost too much lung surface.
The first time they showed it, tens of thousands of people gave up. When they repeated it, I saw it and I gave up.
Back then you could only show TV shows twice as repeats were practically illegal so maybe it's been wiped but I reckon they should show it again (or an updated version).[/QUOTE]“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I've just made myself a banana, strawberry and kiwi fruit salad with a activia blueberry and available fruit fushion yogurt poured all over it for breakfast. I've put it on the arm of the sofa for literally 5 seconds. The blimming cat has jumped up, knocked it off and it's gone all over the carpet.:eek:
Trying to get it up without squashing the acai berries into the carpet and staining it was a flipping nightmare.
I shouted "oh bugg3r it" without thinking and now lil stink is telling me off for saying naughty words.
Can I go back to bed please??
Forgive me stinky but I had to stifle a little giggle:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

. How are you today altojack?:)
I'm pretty good I guess considering. Should of had knee replacement yesterday but because I've still got a chest cough and have to go for a lung capacity test on 24th March, the hospital won't give me another date until they get the results
Other than that I'm good, yes Nerfy and David. I'm a good girlThere's no place like home
