Thank you SFSB:Tthis is one for me
    :)

I'll be joining hornet girl in the morning using a £7.90 APG and topping up the deodorants with flour and vegetables.
I can't bear to waste a large APG without getting another one back:):rotfl:

Breaking Bad was good but House of Cards is even better:cool:

No she doesn't, we keep going round and round in circles- last august she was suicidal she saw a doctor and we are still waiting for the follow up appoint, she was admitted to hospital this time through another branch of the nhs.
I was at work and said I would pick her up at 2.30pm I got home at 1.30 she rang me and said they wanted to discharge her and a nurse drove her home- I did tell her the previous evening to get a photocopy of her discharge letter which she did which had a record of her meds on it- the original strangely got lost so just as well she had what she had otherwise the local gp wouldn't have known what she was taking. The computer system at the hospital unit where she was and the local gp are different and don't link in with each other- ridiculous - that's the tip of the iceberg- she saw the consultant from the pain clinic several months ago and her meds were changed- she then 2weeks ago saw another pain clinic dr who prescribed her morphine patches for the pain, and said she could have them the following day, she has been ringing the pa everyday to no avail but has finally got another appointment for 20th of this month- what are you suppose to do in the mean time? fortunately this has kept her busy and she is keeping positive. as we all have to.
she has progressively worsened over the last few years and to make things more difficult her 14year old son lives with us and he is a nightmare!! So being on here reading all your stories good and bad is a tonic for me and seeing yours fc ...well I admire you and what you do, and you like me and many others on here positivity is the only way, as hard as it may seem we have all been there and have the t-shirt and are able to share our experiences.
:eek:Oh gosh I do ramble sorry for that x

Aww not at all. We all need somewhere to let it out :(

That's a pretty awful story and I feel for you :( I do know services vary massively in different areas. Crisis team wasn't a choice for us. It was one of the conditions of OHs discharge and they visited us everyday for AGES. Yes it did get intrusive but looking back.....and being where we are now, I can see it was necessary.
I think you should find out if there's a crisis team in your area and contact them. Don't get me wrong, they're not a support service. They purely look after the person who is suffering. But that time can give you time to nip to the shops/have a shower/spend half an hour with your grandson/go out In the garden and out your face in a pillow and scream......you get my drift? ;)

And if her son is suffering as kids do in these situations. You might want to find out about CAHMS. Your GP would be able to refer him. They are very helpful from what I've experienced. Asking for help is the hardest thing in the world :o and I'm very guilty of not doing it. But it's usually out there.

If nothing else, you can always talk here. No one will judge (usually :p) and more often than not someone will come up with something you never thought about. Sometimes it's just nice to escape for a bit. Hang in there ;)
