All my e-vouchers are now in. This is a new one on me - I had an order in my basket ready to collect tomorrow but had added no e-vouchers yet. I still had some from last month which I was going to use and was going to add some of the new ones I received today too. Without checking out, all my e-vouchers have a new expiry date of the end of the month including my old e-vouchers, result ;)

Don't be complacent though. The old ones will still disappear if you don't use them by their original expiry date. Been there, got the t-shirt.

Has anyone any clues as to where I can get good strong cheddar or any cheese really for around £5 or £6 a kilo - ie 50p to 60p per 100g - not the bland value stuff, proper cheese
Lidl have their Valley Spire Vintage cheddar for £2.09 for 350g (5.97Kg) and Pilgrims Choice Mature Cheddar £1.99 for 350g (£5.69Kg from Thursday. Don't know if you have a store near you. HTH

    e vouchers all in here.
  • What are your thoughts on this working c&c 8-9 am???
    Thanks
I think it all depends what time the price you pay at the till changes in your store. In the case of a C&C I suppose it also depends either on when the picker is finished picking or when you actually collect. No idea when the transaction actually goes through.

I think that when prices go down in A it probably happens at midnight or very early in the morning. The fact that the price of something is lower than the SEL is not a problem as nobody complains about that and the SAs have as long as they want to change each SEL.

My theory is that there are two possibilities for when prices go up in A..

    1) Each store works to the same specific time in the morning to get all their SELS updated to the correct price. The time is the same nationally and will mostly be adhered to to avoid customer complaints and loads of £2 giftcards being given out.

    2) Each store has their own switch to flick when they are happy that all the cheaper SELS on all the now more expensive products in their store have been removed, thus avoiding overcharging.

Just theories at this stage, but hopefully someone might find something in the morning which might prove or disprove them.
