From M today, I was surprised (but in neither a nice nor nasty way: an unemotional surprise:rotfl:) by them as I didn't think much would really be changed today - I was expecting to find no change and, yet, there are a few changes. I have some non-alcoholic 'wines' that I will be putting down in price.
There was some level of consistency (some level:laugh:) in the prices showing at the different Ms today; however I've noticed (I suspect) every occasion where there were any differences:rotfl:.
The M store that I liked last time, as they had the Aunt Bessie's Toffee Apple Pie - I've used that store again today, but... no Toffee Apple Pie!:(:rotfl: So, I've no idea on that (suspect it won't work on comparisons anyway if going completely non-evident like this) - and very strange as the whole shelving of the Aunt Bessie's in that store appears to have changed - it may as well be a completely different store - not even as if they have any spaces on the shelving or anything but completely different ordering and everything. A bit unusual for the layout totally to change - I even had two stores a couple of weeks ago, and they're not even next to each other, that had every item in the exact same layout for the vast majority of the stores - very helpful like that, as I found and saw the items much easier!
Anyway. In place of the AB Toffee Pie in the one store, it now seems they have M own brand Bramley Apple Pie (frozen), 520g. It seems to be £1; however the store has it at £1.75:rotfl:.
I couldn't find the Tiger Baguettes in my first two stores. Tiger Rolls 4 pack are on 50p (no good as whoopsy 29p) and Tin Loaf on 65p (again, no good:rotfl:). Whilst on the subject of 'no good' (although this might be for some people), Walls Thick Sausages 454g at £1.37. I prefer £1.00 prices (when they do go on, they're usually on others). However, I notice £2.49 and 2 for £4 A - could be good if only we could get that 2 for £4 beggar to go. However, I managed to find a single unit of stock of the Tiger Baguettes on 2 for £1 in the third store I checked - the smallest of the stores:rotfl:.
Thanks to OPs on a couple of items - wait a while then two at once:D! The Ultra Soft Pocket Tissues pack size are indeed £1 in M (confirmed as valid today, so hopefully going to continue). However, as usual, despite a thorough search, I found none of the 2p tissues in my A and no Colgate Advanced White 50ml either:(. I had 75ml, 100ml, 125ml - every size but...!
Second item, thanks for the Lancaster Farm Probiotic Yogurt 1Kg, comparing vs 90p M. Unfortunately, I don't know if that will continue, whether it's a glitch or not, as I have it in only one store (but clearly it is the price collector's stores last time) and it's £1.35 for me there. It's possible the 90p could be a glitch, as there is a different brand yogurt right next to it in my store which is 90p. So, maybe £1.35 vs 90p or £1.35 vs £1.35 next time.
Trimmed Leeks have gone to 69p M - won't work on APG yet (thank you, smallest store for telling me about that one:mad::rotfl: - not seen in the other stores). And Aldi at 59p is cheaper than Avs M at best. Maybe M, whether unintentionally, making it more likely that baskets will be offset vs Aldi.
M's Cranberry Jelly has gone to 49p (need to check if that is the best price or not, as I checked last time on an offer and found it was not). I noticed that that had changed to a lower price in my first store - really eagle-eyes there, as only when I saw the second store did it have "Reduced to clear" pointing it out more. Thank you - my eagle eyes picked it up straight away without any need to point it out to me:D:T.
Taboo Original has gone back to £5. The Sardine at the fish counter has disappeared - I'm removing it anyway as I haven't got it today, whether or not it is elsewhere and it seems fish counters are very variable. The Veetees on 39p RTC may be on their way out now, and the 99p/50p Ben and Jerry's may be too - had no SELs anymore for any of those in two stores and only an indication of one in the smaller store - as you know, I do subtlety very well:D:rotfl:. The Ice Creams in general - very variable and risky previously but now I think even more likely to be N/A.
That said, I was going to say best of luck finding the Pretzel Sticks at 20p in M, as it seemed that my main store had no evidence at all of those now. However, I managed to find some in my small store() and even had stock!
And I'm sorry for removing the (frozen) Cheese Straws last time - I reached the conclusion that they had gone. However, not the case as they are back in my main store and at 50p still there. So, they're going back onto the list (:mad::rotfl:).
I'd still give the frozen Quorns chance to settle down now in M before trying them again on the APG/T PP. Still got full price SELs showing consistently in my stores, even though offer sometimes shows elsewhere (on freezer ends). Of course, it could just be that my sample of stores is out - but, nonetheless, this does suggest to me a risk lately that I wouldn't take. The 'fresh' Quorns though should be safer.
The Savers Shaving Foam is also available in M today - in that smaller store for me. I suspect A S/P Shaving Foam will return N/A vs M though, as it doesn't seem to be widely available in M, meaning the sample of stores checked by the APG is perhaps likely not to have the M version. It is vs T at 26p.
The Lemons are off - were 79p last time, now 99p. So, a basket that includes just a pack of lemons...
This week this basket will cost 20p more!:rotfl:
Another basket that might cost you more is if you want tinned Red Kidney Beans and end up having to replace them with some standard-range M own brand. M Savers version now appears to be no longer available. But, then, that happened with Lemon Curd and the S/P version still compared more recently. I continue to have no evidence of the Savers equiv. in any of 7 stores I've seen in the last three weeks.
I couldn't find the huge sack of Unwashed Potatoes today, but I'll leave it on: either you'll find it in M or you won't and, if you find it at £2 or below(:laugh:), you may buy it and, if you don't, you won't!
I've not seen the Savers Carrots packs for a while now - they may still be in some M store but I've concluded the range looks like it's changed and decided it's no longer there and it'll be removed! The Sugarsnap Peas may be on 2 for £1.49:mad:, only according to one of my stores. Maybe only older stock at that pricing and if the store has the older stock:question:. I'm fed up of reinstating, removing and reinstating them, so this time I probably won't bother with them!
With any laundry glitching that may be on or may be off, this probably not too good: Bold 2 in 1 Lavender Camomile Washing Powder 40 wash (2.6Kg)... and breathe!:rotfl:... £8 M and 1500 points. Vs Sains at £6, don't forget your M Savers Cornflakes:rotfl:. Still works out (if all goes well) at 11.25p/wash:eek:, although I suppose it's Bold 2 in 1. (I suppose;).) For those that don't like "Value" range Cornflakes and only like standard range:wall:, M Cornflakes 750g have gone to £1.59. May be comparable from A:think:. Once it gets updated. Slightly over 20p/100g on straight M price (and really I'd be looking for £1.34 on Kellogg's Cornflakes 750g:rotfl:, I wish!, but nonetheless... Actually I'd be looking for a 30p or below glitch:rotfl::rotfl:).
The White Cake Cases should still have points offer on in M, and work out better than previous Avs M when M's straight price was cheaper than what it is now (without taking the points into account).
Finally, it's the JP Chenet Brut that has gone to £2.99 in M (will need to wait though if it's APG attempt), and Lambrusco Bianca 75cl is £1.99. Malibu 1L is everywhere else* vs A, as A is £13.
That's it - all to be updated on the M list. I notice Sweet Potatoes 1Kg are going to be 64p in A fairly soon, so maybe to be an Mvs A item - I'd give at least one clear day of that price on a.com though before trying M M&M as may turn out not yet updated - although not very good price per unit. Actually, I think A understating a little there - I have Price News that says 98p crossed out price. However they will be going down from £1.15. Having gone up from 64p not so long ago:rotfl:. T's pack of Sweet Potatoes is outside weight range and ought not compare - however, you never know! (May give 1.25Kg for 64p (not yet though, as not yet 64p in A:rotfl:). However, far more likely, could see you paying a lot more if they do not compare.) 64p wasn't 10% cheaper than M's old price - so the previous Avs M was better than the new offer given that M is now somewhat more expensive.
