    Morning everyone,

No glitchy shopping for me today. Got to go feed the ducks and ponder buying another house. Feeling a bit panicked as it's all happened fast but I saw a house for auction last night that looks perfect for a rental and for OH to stay in when at work (he works away). But I've never bought at auction and I'm panicking about paying a valuation fee just to waste it if the house goes way over our budget.

The auction is in 9 days and we would need to sort another mortgage etc (already have our own home and one we rent out). I know it makes sense and I'll kick myself if I let it pass but I'm still on maternity leave and worrying about going back to work.

Sorry, I know it's not the right forum for it but needed to get that off my chest!!!

Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I've never used a mortgage broker but I'm wondering if that would take the pressure off? Are there free ones?? Thanks

We have been to a few auctions, but the houses we were interested in went above our budget... but our budget was unrealistic!

Morning all, seem to have had a lie in :D

Just checked both both of our Morribobs match and more and they have updated with yesterday's shops so both have £10 to draw down.

Please can I ask if I buy 2 more wine today and use £15 in Morrisons fivers will I still get my full match and more points?

Or do I have to start again with real money?

With auctions you need to have everything set up to move quickly, you only have 28 days between the date of the auction and completion. So as well as finding a lender who will give you the required £££, you need to find one that works quickly. You also need to scrutinise the legal pack carefully (ideally have your solicitor look over it before the auction), properties often go to auction because there is something that means an ordinary sale won't happen - short lease/ land problem etc

I'm not a prude at all but to me a couple should support and cherish, help you be the best version of yourself.

I got a third of the way through first book and thought. Yip your a numpty pal, away and beat it ! Xx

I'm sure reading about this man would irritate me no end :D For fans of romance I highly recommend the film and the book " Somewhere in Time." It's been my favourite all time movie since I saw it in the eighties. Christopher Reeves character travels back through time to meet the woman he falls in love with from seeing her picture. The film ending is much nicer than the book ending which ends rather abruptly, I prefer the film. However the book has more detail about how Richard goes to the the library to study books on time travel in order to meet Elise. It's written in diary format and because the author is also called Richard I thought it was a true diary of events :o I know now it's just fiction but this thought made the book more enjoyable for me at the time :)
