Good question, when is fresh actually "fresh"? Potatoes for example grow at certain times of the year, must therefore be stored for a while until being sent to the supermarket to be sold - but still have a BBE date on them as do most items. When we buy fresh meat do we think it was alive earlier that day ... week ...?

Things can be frozen but, whilst they are in frozen state, they are, at those moments, frozen and not fresh. They can be defrosted and are they then "fresh" again or not? Is that what the state of "frozen for freshness" meant?:think: Or, if you can't then freeze again, having defrosted, then they are not in the precise state that they would be if they were fresh having never been frozen, so are not fresh in that sense?0 -
