domain name registration for club

does anyone know if you can register a domain name .co.uk on behalf of a local sports team and have it registered to them as an 'entity' rather than an individual person?

Various people come and go and the chairman/helpers change so how is it best to approach this so that someone cannot run off with it?

All registrations seem to ask for a nominated person and as the club is not a limited co or anything I don't know what is best.

Just set the email on the DNS entry to be [email]webmaster@<sportsteam>.co.uk[/email] and make sure the email password details are known to the committee.

the best people to answer this is Nominet. email them at nominet@nominet.org.uk and they will tell you the best way to register a domain for a club

the OP asked about registering a domain and not DNS settings

not sure HOW to do it...

but a club I know has the registrants name as The Club name
and the address is the postal address of the club building.
