:mad: i installed a programme into my pc,since then my pc is possessed,i cannot left click on anything as it higlights everything,programmes wont open unless i right click on them first,i have scanned my pc ,no virus, i have cleared everything,ran ccleaner,ran highjackthis,have a log if this would help,but i am not sure what i am looking for and how to sort this,any help would be great thanks:eek:

What was the program?

It could just be that your mouse has swapped itself around somehow, go into your control panel in your start menu and look at the mouse settings and see if they seem right.

hi it was hitman 2,i have checked my mouse settings they are ok,it is also opening new windows for everything,and they only go away when i press escape,when i am on the internet the mouse works fine,its when im on the desktop,i tried to do a system restore but when i open it my mouse does not work,and i can only move with buttons and cant get it to go back to an earlier time

Have you tried uninstalling the game and seeing if that is whats causing it?

To be honest, I have never had a problem with a mouse so I am just guessing here, just thought telling the name of the problem might help the techies pin point it better.

i uninstalled the game as soon as the problem started this has made no difference,i ran highjackthis,i have seen other people use this and others have been able to see what the problem was but i wouldnt know where to start,but i have saved the log

There are a few on here that are fab with the logs but just wait until they ask for it.

I have googled and the only problem people are having is that the mouse in laggy in game and that if you have a logitech mouse, it might not work because of the drivers, although that was written a while ago so dunno about now.

Someone will be along in the morning and can give you some better advice.

is it a battery powered mouse?

no its a wired optical,and its only a few month old,i honestly think its a software problem,or spyware,etc

have you scanned with antispyware, ad-aware, avg antispyware, webroot, spybot etc..

do you have another mouse/port to try, just to rule it out?

downloaded ad-aware but it wont let me install it,have tried another mouse,its definately not the mouse
