So?
He was talking about one specific example to illustrate that one lady owner is not automatically a good thing.0 -

I wouldn't dispute that, I'm sure that there are thousands of taxi drivers better than me too, but I only notice the many that are worse, just as I've seen many "careful middle aged man" owners that park by carefully scraping down the side of their gatepost, and reverse by carefully revving to the limiter and slipping the clutch until it carefully burns out.
If they need to state the sex/age of the previous owner as if it were a seal of approval, watch out.
You buy a car on condition, not who owned it before (unless it is a "celebrity" and you want to drive the car that belonged to Elvis or someone)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I don't disagree with any of that. If the old Arthur Daley phrases aren't enough to make you avoid them the over pricing should.0 -
Actually, "one owner since new" is slightly better than "no-one has ever owned it more than 6 weeks", as the first implies that it wasn't a lemon, although they have likely got rid as something is wrong with it-
you hope it is either
"I am a shallow person and can't bear the thought of an old car on my drive, what will next door think?"
"Now there are 3 of us, we need a bigger car to get the child seat in the back"I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
