Bank account switching - bank switching cancelled direct debits into new account!

Hi
I am in the process of switching a bank account from RBS to Nationwide. Tomorrow, Friday 13th February, is the day that everything should be switched by.
I have just logged into my Nationwide account and I can see that RBS have switched my open direct debits but also ones that were cancelled some time ago.
For example, I haven't had an 02 (Telefonica) account for a number of years and this direct debit doesn't show in my open or closed existing RBS direct debits, but I now seem to have a live Telefonica direct debit in my Nationwide account. How can you switch a direct debit that no longer exists?
I also have direct debits for both Hutchinson 3G and H3G, both of which I assume are for my two 3 Mobile accounts. But I now have four direct debits instead of two.
I am happy to cancel the Telefonica one, but I don't really know what to do about the 3 Mobile ones as they all seem to have different reference numbers.
Anyone else had this problem when switching?

Oh, and a BT account that I haven't had for at least three years. That isn't showing on my open or closed direct debits in RBS either!0

The switch moves ALL direct debits, even old ones. They won't be made live, you just need to delete them from your list at your new bank.0

Because the bank that you are switching too acts on the information it has been given from your exisitng bank.
It's not a problem, just delete the mandates as they appear on your new account, the company won't collect any funds if you didn't as you have no agreement set up.0 -

It seems really odd that these cancelled direct debits have been switched when they do not show up in my cancelled RBS direct debits and haven't been active in any way for many years. With RBS you can see all direct debits, even those cancelled within the last year and these ones aren't in that list.
Other cancelled direct debits that are in that list haven't been switched.
Although it still doesn't explain why I have four Three Mobile direct debits set up instead of just the two.
Oh they joys of switching bank accounts!
