  • I have decided to go with 123-reg.co.uk
Started the transfer process; waiting for "RegistrarTagChange".

Thanks for all your input.

Still not managed to get the transfer done.

Melbourne IT have not yet processed my request.
When I chased them over my 1st request, they said that they needed my "registry key" to process it. I replied, giving them the key, which was in my initial request.
Still no transfer; raised another ticket and still no response.

I think they are holding out, until I pay $195 domain renewal fee to them, to prevent the domain from expiring.

Raise a complaint with Nominet? (They manage .co.uk domains and may be able to bring pressure to bear on Melbourne IT - perhaps even remove their registration rights for it).

Also, maybe too late, but easily.co.uk have been my registrar of choice since the 1990's - you can save a few quid elsewhere, but I don't mind a tenner every couple of years for my domains, and the service is generally rock-solid

I have one.com and it works perfectly. Most domains are around 60 dollars though.

    Half it plus a bit.

    Or type this into Google:

    60 dollars in proper money

^^ Trust me, type that into Google and see what happens!

Just thought I would provide an update on my domain transfer.

I contacted Nominet and was told that they could do the transfer for me for £12.
I did this on Monday and then renewed the domain with 123-REG.

Thanks again for all the advice.
