Paypal - pending

Afternoon everyone.

I recently created a thread regarding selling with ebay/paypal.

I've now received the funds and it states 'pending' rather than available. I understand it can take up to 21 days to release the funds to me but my question is when do I post the item? A few members explained that paypal would let me know it's safe to send but I can't see anything to that effect.

I don't mind posting I'm just concerned that the funds might get returned to the buyer for some reason after I've posted.

Can someone put my mind at rest please?

There are two reasons it might be pending, and you need to find out which it is.

You should get an email from PayPal when you receive funds, check that as it is often clearer, does it mention exchequer at all? if it does it will warn you not to post until funds have cleared.

If however the payment has been fully received and shows in your PayPal as a completed transaction, but just not available to withdraw, it is probably the 21 day hold in which case it should say that somewhere, in that scenario is need to ship ASAP.

Hi both.

Thanks but when the funds were sent I had a paypal email saying that it was pending and NOT to ship until the money had cleared into my paypal account. Have now had an email to say that whatever checks they do have turned out fine and that I can now ship the item.
