Default from QuickQuid for loan we've never had!

After some advice if anyone knows anything else that we can do to resolve this as the loan company or not responding!

So my partner checked his credit report and it showed a loan for £1,618 and that the account was in default but satisfied.

The name was CashEuroNet PLC which when you google it comes up as QuickQuid but when you speak to them they pass you to Pounds to Pocket.

Anyway he's never had the payday loan - they verbally confirmed this on the phone and said they have had a few cases and passed him to the ID theft & Fraud Team. We were told to email a copy of his credit report.
Someone called him a day or two later and said it would be removed within 7-10 days and gave him a direct number. Now the direct number doesn't work and when he quotes the name they say they dont know if he works there and there is no note on the system!! We are also being told we cannot speak to the ID Theft & Fraud Team and we need to wait for them to respond to emails. Which is all well and good but its been over 2 weeks now!! No one has responded to emails and we can't speak to them on the phone.

Experian have opened a complaint too but they are waiting for the company to respond to them before they can remove it. They said once they confirm they can remove it overnight.

I have also spoken to the Financial Ombudsman who have opened a complaint also but said it can take weeks - months to resolve.

The trouble is we are in the process of buying a house and our mortage advisor can't even underwrite the application as we have nothing in writing to say its fraud.

Any help please on how to get this idiot payday loan company to deal with it ASAP.

Thanks

legal threats would be the only way if youve already gone to the ombudsman. claiming compensation should you lose the house sale.

Yes someone said we can claim compensation but obviously we want the house more!

What a pain - hopefully they respond soon

Are there solicitors that would take this type of thing on do you know?
