Essati Garage Doors

If you are thinking of a new electric roller shutter garage door and live in an area which suffers with very strong winds, think twice before buying from Essati. Their doors cannot cope with very strong gusts of wind and get blown out of the guides.
The company are also very bad at answering e-mails.

I agree. My Essati door broke in January and I reported the problem straight away. The warranty was valid until mid April. Their follow up customer service is abysmal. After waiting ages and many phonecalls later, an assessor visited, took measurements and I was assured the company would be in touch to book a date ASAP. No such luck. After chasing them up I was given a date but no one came, not once but twice!! I'm extremely annoyed with this company as when they did turn up at 12.55 of the 9am to 1pm slot, their engineers did not have the parts and thought they were there to take measuremets. I cannot imagine this is how they usually conduct business and I'm obviously extremely peeved! I need access to my garage not wasted days booked off work waiting to be given unbelievable excuses for their ineptitude. I will keep this forum informed of any progress and further dealings with Essati, or companies linked to their doors and service.0

I had to pay for replacement door because they wouldn't believe the damage was caused by strong winds and a few months later this second door blew in. I upgraded to a much stronger door (at my cost) and this seems to withstand very strong winds. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I wish I had seen this before I handed over £1100 and 6 weeks after fitting the thing collapsed nearly taking off my head. Despite the seriousness of this I have heard nothing from the company and now have the Trading Standards visiting next week. This will end up in the county court I can see it unless they are in receivership before I can act. Avoid +++0

They are a joke. Customer + service are not words that figure in their vocabulary.0

They are crap! I have been to a couple today to repair them, which I refused because they were so poorly made. The end locks come loose, the curtain comes apart, the laths are screwed directly to the barrel when they should have Auto lock straps to balance the door correctly. They are just terrible. Stick to your local suppliers who care about their reputations because these are just con men. I would recommend manufacturers; Alutech, Hormann and Garador.
Essati are now in liquidation. However, the 'Roman Garage Doors' website looks familiar.
If you want something good in strong winds then a sectional would be better, they are better than roller doors anyway.0 -
