I used to have a laptop with a kind of 'wiggle stick' in the middle of the keyboard.
You could use it instead of the mouse.
It was prone to going screwy and forcing the cursor hard to the edge of the screen. It was possible to disable in Control Panel, but the better solution was to remove the cable and unplug the wiggle stick.

...but it does sound like your problem is just lack of resources, if it only happens when the CPU is busy.
  • I had that the other week the mouse pointer would go up when my mouse was going down or go left when mouse was going Right or jump sometimes then the mouse was back to normal a week later

  • Sorry for the late response.

GunJack - The processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M350 @2.27 GHz. The RAM is 4.00 GB (3.86 GB usable).

eddddy - how did you disable the touch screen please?

you shouldn't be suffering due to ram/cpu. Touchscreen should be disabled in control panel, under mouse or pointing devices
