I made my final payment to the student loans company on tuesday - feels amazing to have this weight lifted.
Question is, should I expect another bill from them as they only calculate interest at the end of the financial year?

How are you paying? Through Direct Debit of through PAYE?
Made some contributions during 2013/14 via paye, I then changed jobs and became self employed, Jan this year I made a payment through self assessment as for 2013/14, & one tuesday I decided to make a one off payment to clear the balance on the slc website0 -
Did you ring them and ask for a Settlement Figure? If so, the interest would have been calculated to clear your loan that day.
If you used an estimated or statement figure, then there will be some residual interest.0
