Hi
I have my PC connected to my TV (in the same room) and when I want to watch a DVD or Video file, I just play the DVD/Play the video file through Windows Media PLayer, and watch it on TV.
AT the same time I can continue using my PC - been doing iit for 3 years withoutr any problems
But overnight, I have lost the ability to do so. I can still watch the DVD on the TV, but cannot use the PC at the same time - if I try, it interferes with the TV.
Or I can see Windows Media Player on the TV (playing the movie), but I can see the Frame of Media Player on the PC, but no actual movie!!! (or vice-verca)!
Ive looked at the settings, and they seem the same to me.
I have a Radeon X300 series Graphics card (thats as technical as I ca get).
Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Hello Nobile
Have you tried the "Extended Desktop" in the settings, once these are set up you will be able to move windows media player onto your TV screen and use a Windows Explorer on your "normal" monitor.
Hope this helps0 -
I had this problem a while ago, try changing the skin of WMP and see if that helps. Ultimately I gave up on WMP, used DIVX player for a while then did a fresh windows re-install and it is all working again now - I put it down to a gremlin!!!0

I am not IT literate - so reinstalling things is not an option.
How do I find this 'extended desktop option'? I cannot find it ANYWHERE within the graphic cards menus/settings options0 -

right click on the desktop>properties>settings>advanced
however it depends on your graphics set up beyond that.
eg for my AIt card i use the catylist software so just click on the icon in the system tray to make changes0
