Thanks everyone and thanks Fergie for your very helpful suggestions. I've written to the Trust Board Chair in a factual, polite but forceful manner and added that time is of the essence and I expect a pretty prompt response. I also quoted some bits from the government guidelines so that it's clear I've been doing my homework and won't be fobbed off with some nebulous reply. I have kept a few of the suggestions up my sleeve so that I have further ammunition if needed.

I've also sent the Acknowledgment of Service to the Court so that gives me 28 days to form a defence - but more importantly - see if within that time-frame the hospital does in fact intervene and resolve it.

I'll post up when I hear anything.

Just a quick update. I am working with privateparkingappeals.co.uk who have done a superb job in compiling my first defence. They also suggested my case to the TV company who produces "Don't Get Done Get Dom" who are doing a programme about private parking companies and are particularly interested in hospital parking. Unfortunately, my Dad had a stroke yesterday, so I'm not really in a position to commit to anything at the moment.

Life's dramas are like buses aren't they? A son with newly diagnosed MS. my Dad in hospital, this bloody PE fiasco - oh and my Mum's Brother just diagnosed with terminal tumour. And me due for surgery on a tendon in my thumb joint which renders my right hand pretty useless right now Hey ho, beam me up Scotty.

    gw23-
Had missed your first posts but just want[however feebly, given this is no more than an online forum]to wish you and all of your family strength.

You are coming from a corner similar to that of the remarkable fighting Fergie.

I am astounded that the Royal Free is infested by this filth, NW3 being prev. & stamping ground when Glenda was elected. She must hate this, despite standing down this May. Tulip Siddiq will be next H+H MP with a following wind.

Thanks Ampersand. I have been much inspired by Fergie and to be honest, this aggro has given me a bit of a break from all the other rubbish going on right now (as bizarre as that may sound!). Onwards and upwards, never let the barstewards beat you.

Result! The Royal Free Hospital have just contacted me to say that they are cancelling the PCN, confirmation letter in post. And they even apologised .....profusely, in fact.

Thanks to those who advised me here.

Make sure that Parking Eye cancel this and don't try and claim £50 for their "expenses"

    Great result gw23.

As trisontana says PE might just have the brass neck to ask you to cover their expenses. If they do, back on to the hospital with another snotogram.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
