Don't know, but if you're worried phone NHS direct of your out of hours doctors service, just to be on the safe side. Was she in for day surgery, did they give you a number to phone is she had any problems? I think I'd check.

No she is in hospital, hubby is with her. It just seems to be a long time to sleep.

If you are worried, talk to the hospital staff. It does take a LONG time for anaesthetic to work its way through the system, and they may have wanted her to stay asleep a good long time.

Are the staff trying to wake her up? After I'd been out for the count all day, they then woke me up every half hour through the night to make sure my brain was still there ... "Who's the prime minister?"

    Hugs ...

I've slept for almost 18 hours in the past after a long drinking session and late night. The body can do it if suitably tired.
    Happy chappy
