Big Winter Switch and Me

I listened to Radio 4 Moneybox yesterday about energy suppliers. Currently I am a BG customer on a fixed deal until March 31 2015. The big switch advises me I can save £300 if I switch to Sainsbury's but I have to do it now. The switch will take about six weeks or so, if I switch now will I incur the £100 exit fee BG impose? Or will the switch take so long that BG don't impose penalty fees?

The deal probably doesn't save you anywhere as much as you think, because it will assume you would be on their standard tariff for 11 months.

Go onto Sainsbury's website and use that to calculate the true cost compared to what you can get with your own supplier.0
