Hello, I am a first time buyer and me and my partner have found a property, had an offer accepted and have now have had our mortgage agreed pending the Survey/Valuation.
The couple we are buying from have found a place that is currently vacant and have also got everything in place. At this point how long until we complete?
The bank are doing the valuation/survey on Monday. I want to get excited but as a first time buyer I have no idea if this could all fall apart. When can I start getting that excited feeling!

How long is a piece of string? We're FTB using cash (Bank of Mum and Dad) buying an empty property (probate sale). We put the offer in in mid-November. We *hope* to exchange soon (just signed the papers and sent the deposit over last week).
Admittedly, not much was done for 2 weeks over Christmas/New Year and the property hasn't changed hands since 1970 so isn't computerised (lots of reading of old deeds) but I still thought I'd own a house by now!We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
