Could not get anything to load this morning so restored laptop to about fortnight ago.
Now when I try to load using chrome I get a message saying c/programme/files/google chrome & something about a c drive error.
I can get in using internet explorer but my favourites are lost :(
Any ideas anyone?

If it were me, I would take chrome off, via add/remove, then after rebooting, install chrome again. I've done that times and each time chrome has behaved better. Failing that, why not install Firefox which is faster. Oh, and during installation, there will be the opportunity to import favourites from other browsers. What might be worth doing, whichever browser you use, is to ensure you have all your favourites in IE then at least with that kept uptodate, you won't inadvertanly forget any.

before uninstalling chrome, go into IE and use the File>Import and Export and attempt to import your Favourites from Chrome first.
