shipping abroad help urgent pls

Hi someone bid on my item from Italy but paid just the shipping for uk £5.99 I contacted to explain that it would be more and she said she has hired a difference in shipping? What does this mean? thanks

No, postage doesn't work like that. You as the seller need to be protected against an INR , and frankly Italy is a notoriously difficult country and one that many of us have blocked.
Just to clarify, when you check your PayPal account the address is in Italy- yes? But postage only shows the UK postage you charged.
