Condensation In Headlight

I have just purchased a 2012 Triumph Speed Triple Motorbike.

It was delivered last week and I have noticed condensation inside both headlights.

The condensation is only along the top of both headlights.

The dealer where I purchased the bike is not being very helpful, saying wear and tear etc.

Please could someone advise if this is something I should be worried about or will it improve with the warmer weather?

I have tried to attach pictures below....

I'd have thought it would 'burn off' pretty quickly with the lights on tbh.

Which dealer?, and triumph torque is a great place to get information on triumphs.

They are sealed to an extent, I have had condensation in my headlight enclosure and it came and went never to return.
I suspect that the bike the guy has just purchased has been standing around in possibly a warm enviroment and now moved out to face the elements, I fell the residue to clear after use of the bike on a regularish basis. If there was a real condensation problem, the OP would have known about it before purchasing the bike.

Put a silica pack in there to absorb the moisture. Dead cheap on eBay, look for 50g/100g packs. Costs around a fiver for 5

It looks very minor so while it should be sealed, it clearly isn't, so a few minutes with the light on should dry it off.

Hair dryer for a few minutes or a good long ride out with the lights on. And make sure they are still sealed.

    No water getting inside.

Thank you everyone. I did try the hairdryer but that didn't work. I will take the bike for a long ride when I get chance

    Thank you

Carefully drill a small hole into each section with a very narrow drill. This will allow excretion of air to circulate and stop the condensation.
  • A couple of years ago we bought a Vauxhall Agila, it was only a few months old but a few days after picking it up the right headlight lens had fogged up. Told the dealer and they said give it time as it might be due to whoever washed the car being a tad overzealous with a pressure washer. He was right, it vanished and hasn't fogged up since.

I have been lucky with this. I contacted Triumph directly and they have agreed to fit new headlights for me despite the bike being just out of warranty with them.
